Visited for early lunch on a Friday, when it was not too busy. The carvery – which is on the menu every day - is extremely good value, with a wide range of vegetables and well cooked meat. No room for dessert! Highly recommended.

Stopped here on the way to our weekend away glamping. Food was lovely , place was clean, service was good, staff were very friendly. Sat outside as the weather was lovely. Also tried a carvery in 2020 and was really nice. Would recommend and use again.

Fantastic food here, the carvery’s are outstanding in every way! A choice of meat, succulent, hot, portions are great, self serve veggies are phenomenal! I’ve never seen a selection like these all my faves! Service is good, always a smile and banter.

Exceptional food and lovely friendly helpful staff. I had the carvery, and it was beautifully cooked. No dried up veg or soggy roast potatoes under heat lamps here! 3 kinds of potatoes, 2 kinds of cabbage, peas, carrots, roast onions amongst the selection on offer, and all the gravy and sauces you could want. My husband had the 16oz rump steak, which was cooked to perfection and melt in the mouth. Definitely be back next time we're visiting the area. Great value for money too

Truly FANTASTIC carvery, absolutely deserving of its ultimate boasting! It is, without doubt, the best I have ever had. The meat filled my plate before anything else was added. Perfect roast potatoes, large succulent boiled, fluffy Yorkshire puddings, and a homemade cheesecake dessert that was delicious. The food price was excellent, two courses for 13.95 (June 22), I would certainly return if back in the area.

Updated since 2024 Very cozy, and warm carvery establishment set in a stunning landscape. Hospitality: 4.5/5 service was really good. Time slightly started to get annoying on waiting time. Food: 4.5/5 past- I had fish'n chips and it was very delightful. Chunky chips were unique as usual. 1 time I had the classic orriginal style burger from the oak. Although it's not my preference; the flavor, and appearance would be perfect for somone who likes their burgers more real. My relatives had the signature meal; (carvery); and they all loved it! (Not my words); apparently the rosties a onions were really nice! For my desert, I usually have the cheesecake of the day; (when it fancys me. Past -relatives had salted caramel cookie dough tart and was divine. The deserts menu STILL didn't have much to suit people with food intolerance. Although today - my relative had a sticky toffee pudding with serval parts wrong. Instant custard, pudding came out of the fridge, and taste like rubber. Building: 5/5 The inner interrior and outer exterior were quite modern with styles that throw back to the old time. The toilets were also very clean with a touch of class.
